Registration criteria
Admission rules for candidates with Polish diplomas
These studies are intended for candidates who hold a BA or MA diploma or its equivalent in some subject.
Application and admission procedure:
1. Candidates with the diploma of English Studies or Teacher Training Colleges (specialization English) are admitted, in an open competition, on the basis of the diploma grade.
2. Candidates with the diploma other than the above mentioned, are admitted, in an open competition, on the basis of the diploma grade and a certificate in English ( level C1 or higher). Exam results are valid for 5 years. Enclosed is the list of accepted certificates:
- Certificate in Advanced English / Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) / C1 Advanced issued by Cambridge Assessment English (previously Cambridge English Language Assessment and University of Cambridge ESOL examination)
- Certificate of Proficiency in English / Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) / C2 Proficiency issued by Cambridge Assessment English (previously Cambridge English Language Assessment and University of Cambridge ESOL examination)
- C1 Business Higher / Cambridge English: Business Higher (BEC Higher) issued by Cambridge Assessment English (previously Cambridge English Language Assessment and University of Cambridge ESOL examination)
- UW Certificate Examination (C1 or C2 level) issued by the University of Warsaw Council for the Certification of Language Proficiency
- C1 exam conducted by the UW Institute of English Studies
- ECL Language Test level C1 (min. score 80), issued by European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages
- Edexcel ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Level 2 issued by Pearson
- Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic (min. score 64) issued by Pearson
- International English Language Testing System Academic (min. score 7) issued by International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (min. score 94) issued by Educational Testing Service (ETS)
Candidates who do not hold a required certificate should pass the exam in English (level C1).
Admission procedure for candidates with foreign diplomas
The admissions criteria are the same as for candidates with Polish diplomas. A candidate who has completed first-cycle studies, entitling him/her to continue Master-level studies, conducted in English language may be exempted from the interview by the decision of the Admission Committee.
Deadlines
Date of exam: 19th of June, 2019, 10 a.m., Auditorium Maximum, Adam Mickiewicz Hall (Main Campus, Krakowskie Przedmiescie 26/28)
Announcement of results: 19th of July, 2019
Reception of documents:
- I round: 22nd of July, 2019 (10 a.m.-2 p.m.), 23rd of July, 2019 (1 p.m.-5 p.m.), 24th of July, 2019 (10 a.m.-2 p.m.)
- II round (in case of not fulfilling the limit during I round): 25th of July, 2019 (10 a.m.-1 p.m.), 26th of July, 2019 (1 p.m.-5 p.m.)
- III round (in case of not fulfilling the limit during I round): 29th of July, 2019 (12 noon - 4 p.m.)
